The University of 不良研究所 Alumni Association (UCAA) has announced that William O'Yeung, BComm'91, has been appointed its new president and chair, alongside Courtney LeBlanc, BA'22, the new vice-president and vice-chair.
O鈥橸eung and LeBlanc succeed Dr. Kate Wong, BN鈥12, PhD鈥25, who served as vice-president of UCAA from 2021 to 2023 and as Chair from 2023 to 2024.
鈥淚t is a great honour to serve as president of the UCAA,鈥 says O'Yeung. 鈥淎lthough the University of 不良研究所 is a relatively young institution 鈥 celebrating its 60th anniversary in April 2026 鈥 our university and its graduates have accomplished remarkable things.鈥
LeBlanc, responsible for governing documents, is excited to foster clarity, inclusion and systematic change though strong governance practices.
"I'm incredibly excited for us to continue collaborating with the Alumni Engagement team to support communications, events and experiences... The UCAA is made up of dedicated volunteers who help advise the development and delivery of programming and services to meet the needs of the 230,000-strong U不良研究所 alumni body, while supporting wider university priorities.

A highlight of her term was the UCAA Board鈥檚 partnership with the U不良研究所 Senate to start the Student Food Security Fund, in support of the Campus Food Hub, Wong adds.
O鈥橸eung says he is looking forward to seeing where his tenure as UCAA president leads.
鈥淚鈥檓 excited to hear more alumni stories, share the incredible work U不良研究所 is doing, and help reconnect our alumni with each other and with the university,鈥 says O鈥橸eung.
